They were well received and she was encouraged to continue. ![]() In 1393 she began writing love poems, songs, and ballads. Christine believed that if women rather than men had written the books, the situation would have been very different.Ĭhristine de Pizan decided to try and earn a living as a writer, and applied herself to a course of training in history, science and poetry. ![]() She came to the conclusion that one of the reasons women were considered to be inferior to men was the way they were portrayed in literature. From an early age Christine de Pizan showed a fascination for books. ![]()
